First time covering Evo 2026 in Las Vegas was a nightmare. It was so much going on and so many games in one spot that for a first timer entering the tournament, it was confusing. Getting the actual badge was easy but finding where your match was, was difficult and going off the pools in start.gg sucked alot. The biggest disappointment was security because they didn’t know what game or pool was playing in the area that they were securing. The only thing they knew was what badge was able to enter the area, so security isn’t to blame because their information on what pools or brackets were playing was limited. For anybody wanting to enter Evo next year for the first time your best bet is to show up early on the first day of the event and if any security guard tells you that this event has been cancelled for today, still figure out a way to show up to your “canceled match” to confirm for yourself (or ask event coordinator). There were many ways to get into the event with the badge so where one door is closed another is open. For any gamer whose first time experience was the experience that I endured they may be discouraged to comeback to Evo next year because of the money wasted on the tournament. I was disqualified from Evo 2026 because I didn’t show up to my match, the same match that I was told by security was cancelled. By the time I figured out that I was disqualified there was no way for me to enter the tournament again which was very frustrating. I don’t know where I stand in Streetfighter 6 compared to the pros and I definitely lost out on a chance to win the tournament and take home the prize winnings. Too look on the brighter side of things at least this tournament was in Vegas, so I was able to explore Sin city for the first time and it delivered a time, positive and negative wise…… With all this being said, Evo should at least find out which contestants are first timers to make it easier for them to know what’s going on instead of assuming people will just catch on to things like everybody else does because all people don’t think the same. | July 2, 2026 | Toomuchsauce

Didn’t touch a controller for any of these three games and then on top of that there was no time posted on these matches just what table they were supposed to be playing at. Just really confusing. And also please realize that the Las Vegas Convention Center is the largest convention center in the world, and that’s no exaggeration!! It was more then one event going on in there, it wasn’t just Evo 2026. There was an actual jujitsu tournament going on as well in which you could feel the humidity from all the action happening on the mats in these rooms. It was crazy seeing a lil kid come out of a match with bruises on his face dissappointed that he lost his match, that shit was crazy and to top it off they had ambulances on standby outside of the jujitsu tournament like damn this shit aint no joke, if you get your arm snapped then the ambulance will take you in for treatment right then and there….
