India Arie FACES BACKLASH After CALLING OUT Yung Miami SCAMMER Song ?!

There are so many rap and hip‑hop songs about crime that it’s crazy. The same can be said about cinema — there are so many crime movies that you couldn’t count them on one hand. The song “Spend That” is gaining a lot of buzz, most likely because it sounds good, it’s catchy, and, at most, people just want to have a good time with the music and see someone from the culture succeed.

India Arie is getting a lot of backlash for calling out the “Spend That” song, and some of that backlash is outlandish for the simple fact that nobody cares about “boosting culture” until boosting culture affects them personally. Anybody can say India Arie is a hater — this, that, and the third — until the same culture they’re defending turns on them. Then it’s people like India Arie who call it out, because that’s who she is and that’s what she chose to do.

Why should someone like India Arie be getting this much backlash for speaking her mind? Seeing something like this may keep other people from speaking out or standing up for themselves, because they see what happens when someone decides to speak up.

No matter what side you’re on, just know this: nobody cares about other people’s situations until that situation happens to them. And once that situation happens to them, those types of people would most likely be looking for someone like an India Arie or anybody else to come support or speak out for them.
