HispanTV is a Spanish-language international television news network operated by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Iran’s state broadcaster. The channel began broadcasting in December 2011 and was officially inaugurated in 2012, with programming aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences in Latin America, Spain, and other regions. Over time, HispanTV has faced distribution restrictions resulting from sanctions, regulatory actions, and platform policies. Its accounts have been suspended or restricted on services operated by companies including Google, YouTube, and Facebook, and the channel has been removed from certain satellite distribution platforms, including those operated by Eutelsat and Hispasat. Broadcasting restrictions were also imposed on its terrestrial transmissions in the Madrid region in connection with the enforcement of European sanctions affecting Iranian state broadcasting entities. | Ali López(Hansel) | June 12, 2022
