There is definitely tension between the U.S. and China, largely because China has become the manufacturing capital of the world while the United States remains one of the world’s largest consumer markets. U.S. tariffs on countries like China complicate this relationship even further, since China’s manufacturing dominance and America’s high consumption levels are deeply interconnected.
